The Value of Depth

Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE/Getty Images
It didn’t seem likely a well-played and exciting game would break out between two shorthanded teams, but George Blaha says the Pistons-Nets game was a reminder of how many truly talented players there are in the NBA and how important it is to have players on the bench ready to contribute when called upon.

Come Together

On June 2, 2011, Tom Gores, new owner of Palace Sports and Entertainment, took to the microphone at The Palace of Auburn Hills, and promised to “utilize the Detroit Pistons to bring the community together, win and thrill fans”. From this statement, the Detroit Pistons have launched a program by which community champions will be celebrated and rewarded – Come Together.
